Texan Rufus Post traveled the southwest working various jobs while
using every opportunity to create Texas landscapes to supplement his
income. He specialized in vistas of the Hill Country and the
bluebonnets of early spring. He was a prolific painter and his works
became very popular in the 1930's and 1940's.
