Lucille Richhart was born in Big
Spring. She was a long time resident of Fort Worth. She studied art
with Sam Ziegler at Texas Christian University. She was both a
writer and artist. Her extensive travels secured her a job with the
Fort Worth Star-Telegram for some twenty years where she wrote
travel articles. She exhibited in galleries i.e., The Bright Shawl
in San Antonio and excelled as a
watercolorist and etcher. Many of her works had Indian and the
Southwest subjects. Her work appeared in early issues of the
Arizona Highways Magazine.
