Kate Ball
was a graduate of the Federal Schools of Minneapolis, in commercial
design. She studied art in Berkeley University, and at the
University of Southern California and with Eugene Neuhaus, Perham H.
Nahl, and Henry Balink. She was a life fellow of International
Institute of Arts and Letters; a member of the American Artists
Professional League; the Texas Fine Arts Assn., El Paso Art Assn.,
El Paso Woman's Club, El Paso Historical Society and
American Artists Group. The daughter of a prominent early El Paso
builder and architect she was mentioned for her art accomplishments
in the El Paso press as early as 1911. She taught art in El Paso
Public Schools in the 1930s and at the El Paso Technical Institute.
