Born in Waco in 1936, John French
grew up in West Texas and New Mexico. Working on ranches gave him an
appreciation for the land, peoples and animals of the West which he
has been able to transfer to both canvas and sculpture. After
returning to Waco, he became a full time artist in 1970 and has
built an international following. His western paintings and
bronzes are thoroughly researched for historical accuracy which adds to
his credentials as a master expositor of the West.
