Henri Gadbois was born in Houston in 1930. Painter, watercolorist,
craftsperson and sculptor, he was only seventeen when his first work
was accepted for exhibition in the prestigious Texas General
Exhibition. As a teacher at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts School
and
as an exhibitor in six decades of exhibition, Gadbois' skill, creative
vision, and influence upon the Texas art community has made him one
of Texas’ most treasured artists.
