Frank
Callcott was born in San Marcos. He studied with George Bridgeman
and Kimon Nicolaides at the Art Students League. Although he spent
many years in New York, he retired to live in Texas and prior to
that he was repeatedly to return to Texas to complete art
commissions and exhibit. Mission Conception was exhibited in New
York in 1936 and in the Southern States Art League Annual Exhibition
of 1941.
